Resume Writing Workshop
As a result of technology, a new paradigm is emerging in resume writing. The Internet now offers an opportunity for job seekers to post their skills and abilities, as well as search for recent job opportunities. This new media also allows employers to quickly find candidates. Electronic resume databases store thousands of resumes, which are available to hiring managers and Human Resource professionals at the click of a button. While the format of the resume has changed, the purpose has remained the same: to give the employer a solid overview of the candidate's skills, projects, and education. The objective of this workshop is to provide the participant with the requisite skills to write an effective resume for the new media. A detailed analysis of the components of the resume, verbal tone and visual aesthetics is covered. Participants are requested to bring a resume to the workshop.
